This poem is very thought and made because it shows every little part of a single process of smoking like the feeling the slow clicks of the lighter. I agree with the part that smoking is harmful and cause black lungs, and I also think that smoking is disgusting.

The poet wanted to say that he liked the hiss of when lighting a cigarette. I was surprised at first why he did it but then I thought he wanted to tell us there are more than 1 way of thinking. My favorite part of this poems is that when the person clicks the lighter to get the fire, the way the author made it sound really cool and it felt like it was going on in slow motion.

This can be used in a funeral because the tempo of the poem is slow and calm but the message of the poem is good for a funeral, the message of this poem is sad because at the end everything turns into ashes and that can relate to cremating a person like just like when the persons bones become ashes.
